1. WHAT THIS WARRANTY COVERS
BlueV8 warrants to the original retail purchaser that the BlueV8
AFM/DFM Disabler will be free from defects in materials, microchips,
and workmanship for one (1) year from the date of purchase, under
standard operating conditions. Covered issues include:
- The device fails to power on or communicate with the OBD2 port.
- The LED indicators fail to light or do not display status as
expected.
- The device fails to enter low-power standby mode, causing unexpected
battery drain.
- The device unprovokedly drops communication, allowing the vehicle to
shift back into V4 mode.
Our Remedy: Once verified, BlueV8 will replace the device with the same
model, or a functionally equivalent model, free of charge. Replacement
is BlueV8's sole obligation and your exclusive remedy under this
warranty.
2. WHAT THIS WARRANTY DOES NOT COVER
This warranty applies strictly to the BlueV8 device itself. It does NOT
cover:
- Damage from incorrect installation (e.g., forced or bent pins in the
OBD2 port) or use on unsupported vehicles or engines.
- Physical abuse, drops, impact, crushing, or water or liquid exposure.
- Vehicle electrical faults, short circuits, or modifications to the
vehicle's factory wiring.
- Normal wear and tear, cosmetic degradation, or lost or stolen items.
- Third-party fees: mechanic labor, diagnostic fees (including
dealership scanning charges), towing, or any damage to your vehicle's
engine, ECU, transmission, or battery.
BlueV8 makes no warranty or representation that use of this device will
prevent, reduce, or delay any lifter, camshaft, valvetrain, engine, or
other vehicle failure.
This warranty does not cover any claim arising from a denial of
coverage, in whole or in part, by your vehicle manufacturer or its
dealers.
3. WHO IS COVERED
This warranty belongs exclusively to the original purchaser and is
non-transferable. Claims must be sent from the email address used to
place the original order.
4. HOW TO CLAIM
Email help@bluev8.com with the subject line:
Warranty Claim - [Your Order Number]
Please include:
1. Your original order number.
2. Vehicle details (Year, Make, Model, Engine — e.g., 2018 Chevrolet
Silverado 5.3L).
3. A brief description of the issue, including whether the LED lights
turn on.
4. Clear photos of the device (front and pins).
5. A short video clip showing the malfunction (recommended for faster
approval).
5. POLICY DETAILS
A replacement device does not restart the warranty period. Coverage is
calculated strictly from your original purchase date.
BlueV8 reserves the right to deny claims showing clear evidence of
physical abuse, tampering, or vehicle incompatibility. Customers are
responsible for verifying vehicle compatibility before purchase.
6. LIMITATION OF WARRANTIES AND LIABILITY
To the extent permitted by law, any implied warranties, including the
implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular
purpose, are limited in duration to the term of this written warranty.
BlueV8 shall not be liable for incidental or consequential damages,
including loss of use, towing, rental vehicles, diagnostic charges,
labor, lost time, or damage to the vehicle.
Some states do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty
lasts, or the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential
damages, so the above limitations may not apply to you. This warranty
gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights
which vary from state to state.
BlueV8 is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by General
Motors. Brand names are used only to identify vehicle compatibility.
